Access to Google / Chrome and Web Resources

We are a google workspace for education school, every child has a logon.

Access from home

Home Learning and Remote Learning at Tickford Park now take place through Google Classroom. We can provide a broader online learning environment for children using the Google workspace suite of tools whilst also preparing them for secondary school, especially if they move on to Ousedale, as many of our pupils do.

Your child can best experience their online learning, using a laptop, desktop or chromebook to access their home learning environment, as this gets them familiar with keyboard, mouse, shortcuts and functionality. These are all skills which will help them at Tickford Park and as they progress through their higher education. However, we understand that some children will only have access to a tablet or smartphone for their home learning and this will not stop them from accessing their Google classroom.

Below you will find a selection of information that will help you to get your children set up and ready for their home learning. If you are struggling to access these resources, please do speak to your child's class teacher who will be happy to discuss this with you. 

Chromebooks

Easy access, just login with your child's Tickford Park Google account and they will have instant access to the resources they need.

Desktop / Laptop

We strongly recommend you setup a seperate user account to the laptop or desktop for each child. This will mean that they cannot access your documents and have access to their own chrome web browser.

Logon to chrome and SYNC

Apps to install on any tablet.

Functionality using apps on tablets is a different experience to accessing on a computer. Note we teach children how to use google workspace on computers / chromebooks only in school. There are lots of help videos on youtube if you need to work out how to use any of the below on a tablet. Install the apps below onto your table, they are all free to download.

Accessing from an iPad / Tablet
